Prayer Shawl
Throughout our lives God calls us to celebrate the miracle of each person, each day.
These celebrations are as varied as the recipients of the shawls we give, celebrating a life well lived, prayers during a time of healing emotionally or physically, birthdays, prayers of grace and love for our service men and women, celebrating new births, graduations, people relocating and celebration of marriage.
Out of a single strand of yarn, a flowing fabric emerges that will eventually wrap itself around another’s shoulders and speak love into another’s heart.
Our prayer shawl ministry has given away more than 300 shawls to parishioners, friends, family members and strangers near and far. We have received many beautiful heartfelt notes of appreciation.
Everyone is encouraged to join our knitting circle the first Monday of each month. If you don’t knit or crochet, you can still joint the ministry by providing yarn (3 skeins for a shawl) or money donations for yarn or gift bags for the gift giving.
We hope you will join us!
